At ActLab, we believe true artistry is born from self-discovery, experimentation and refinement. Founded in 2006 to turn aspiring actors into refined artists, ActLab is a laboratory for creative growth.
Our programs blend theory, practice and industry insight, whether you are stepping in front of a camera for the first time or sharpening advanced skills.
Led by Mr. Sajeev Raman Nambiyath, a renowned acting trainer from the Pune Film Institute and mentor to many successful artists in South Indian cinema.
The training is built on Stanislavski's Method Acting, relaxation techniques and practical performance methods, so you leave with tools you can use on set and in auditions.
Many people join ActLab not only to act, but to speak, present and express themselves with confidence. Through relaxation, concentration and guided performance exercises, the workshop works on the three fears that hold most people back.
Nervous hands, a racing heart and a blank mind are common. Breathing and relaxation techniques calm the body, so you can stand in the space, stay present and perform with control.
Performing in front of the group, step by step, in a safe and supportive setting. You learn to turn the attention of an audience into energy instead of pressure.
Hands-on time in front of the lens until it feels normal. You learn to forget the camera, look natural and stay truthful, whether it's a film scene, an audition tape or a social media video.
The tools you learn here carry into everyday life: speaking up at work, presenting ideas, handling interviews and expressing emotions honestly. Many participants find the biggest change is in how they see themselves.
Two full days of guided exercises, scene work and personal feedback. All six highlights are covered across both days: Saturday 7 Nov, 9 AM – 8 PM, and Sunday 8 Nov, 9 AM – 9 PM.
Fear, self-consciousness and overthinking stop most actors before they begin. Using Stanislavski-based relaxation and concentration work, you learn to release physical tension and mental blocks so your real emotions can come through.
Good acting is reacting. You practise listening, responding in the moment and playing clear actions, so a scene feels lived rather than performed.
A step-by-step method to break down any role: who the character is, what they want, what stands in their way and how they change. You leave with a map you can use for every script.
The camera sees everything, so film acting needs a different scale from the stage. You learn how to adjust your performance for close-ups, mid and wide shots and keep it truthful through retakes.
How to prepare a scene quickly, make strong choices and give a self-tape or live audition that casting teams remember.
Talent needs to be seen. Learn how to build a professional actor's profile and present yourself confidently to directors and casting teams.
Session order and timings are finalised by the trainer and may be adjusted on the day.
Full 2-day workshop fee. Pay online by card, or split it with Tabby or Tamara.
Please note: fees are non-refundable once your seat is confirmed.
